Introducing the System

Translation Of the Chinese Calligraphy: Unify Three System As One

First of all, internal training system is not a new idea. Traditionally, people would not separate these arts between each other all of them belong to Daoism Arts. Internal martial arts focus more on physical benefit. At the same time, energy art, which include Qi Gong and meditation, will concentrate more on human body energy practice and medical art, which has been the traditional way of healing for Chinese people for thousands of years, will use an alternative way of well being to help everyone interested in this ancient science. People will get more benefit as long as these different aspects have been concerned through our daily practice. You do not have to know all of them, but you should know each of them a bit, since it is the original way of thinking, the original way of doing.

But why we do not hear this concept of holistic approach so often? The reason is very simple that because we are living in a modern time, a lot of knowledge has been lost. Especially in outside of China, it is very hard for people to get the classic old Chinese documents of these arts, it becomes more difficult to understand this concept. Now, you will have the opportunity to know this information, and if you want, you will be able to master this knowledge with your dedication. We believe that Chinese culture is from China but it belongs to the world. We wish more and more people get the benefits from the ancient practice.

We mentioned already that the system includes three sub-system, which are Martial Art, Energy Art and Medical Art. Please look the next Chart which demonstrates the three parts of the whole system, and this is why we choose it as the logo of our school as well:

In each sub-system, we work with different aspect. But all of them are under the Great Dao, the detailed illustration is demonstrated by next chart.

On Martial Art, we focus on the three main Chinese internal styles, which are Tai Chi, Xing Yi and Ba Gua. Chen Tai Chi (Tai Chi Quan or Taijiquan, Taiji) is considered as the original Tai Chi style among the Tai Chi Quan family, the other styles are Yang Style, Wu style, Wu-Hao Style and Sun style, all of them are named according to their founder's family names. However, Chen style keeps the original Tai Chi Quan characteristics such as the combination of softness and hardness, slow motion and fast motion and etc., Practicing this style will help Tai Chi practitioners understand the Yin-Yang theory easier and this style has more martial aspect, which is the reason why we put Tai Chi in this sub-system. You can find more information at our Chen Tai Chi section on this site.

To Xing Yi (Hsing I) practice, we will focus on Hebei style Xing Yi Quan. Xing Yi as an unique martial art system was from Hebei style. There are some sub-branches of Xing Yi in Hebei style as well, we will focus on Li Cunyi, Zhang Zhaodong and Xuedian branches mainly.

To Ba Gua (Pa Gua or Baguazhang), we will put more effort on Cheng style Ba Gua. Cheng style Ba Gua is considered as the pure Ba Gua in China, because the founder of this style did not learn any martial arts before he learned Ba gua from Dong Haichuan, the founder of the Ba Gua system. So people in China consider the Cheng style keeps the original practice of Dong Haichuan's .

In our Energy Art sub-system, there are two types of practices: Qi Gong and Meditation. There are a lot of differences between these two practices but most people always confuse it. We will make it clear through other parts of this site.

Qi Gong(Chi Kung) is a more dynamic approach compare with meditation. QI Gong practice may have quick result in terms of healing diseases. One of the reasons is that there are a lot of movements designed specifically for motivating and invigorating energy in our body through meridians or other channels, so that to these people who have health problems, they should choose Qi Gong first and then, combine meditation practice later on.

There are many different Qi Gong styles in China, and different styles focus on different purpose even though most of them focus on healing. From medical and scientific research, there are a few styles have more benefit in terms of healing diseases compare with other styles. Zhineng Qi Gong and Anti-Cancer Qi Gong are two the best among them. We will concentrate these two styles because many people in China have got tremendous benefit through these styles. At the same time, we will introduce some ancient Qi Gong practice, they are the root and source of any practices which people are doing now.

Meditation is one of the oldest internal practice in Chinese cultural history, many Chinese arts were developed through the meditative state of mind, so understanding Daoism meditation will help us grasp the root of Chinese culture, the root of internal practice and the essence of internal energy.

In the ancient time of China, it was a privilege to practice Qi Gong and meditation, especially Daoist Meditation, It was only for highly educated people and wealthy groups. This is why most of the documents were written by code: people have to decode the text in order to master the meaning. Otherwise, the obvious understanding or explanation of the writing will mislead people to wrong direction, which will create a lot of mistakes and problems in health and others. We will gradually reveal the ancient practice in order to let more and more people get benefit through learning and practicing the pearl on the crown in Daoism Art.

In our Medical Art sub-system, we will help students understand basic concepts of Traditional Chinese medicine such as Yin-Yang theory, Five-Element theory, Organ theory, Meridian theory and many other aspects. Understanding how our body works will guide us to have better health and make more progress in other practice. The holistic and systematic approach of well-being can be complementary method to the western medicine. Chinese medicine has helped Chinese people for thousand of years, it will help more people in the future when more and more people in the world accept it.

So how to start practicing this system?  If you have learned some parts of the whole system very well with years of practice, you can select the parts interested to you. For example, if you have learned some Martial Art, you can choose Energy Art or Medical Art, or even another style of Martial Art, since most people do not practice all of these three styles.
